At RBA the Maths Department aims to provide a curriculum that is engaging, challenging and relevant. We aim to give students the mathematical and numerical skills with which they can thrive in all stages of life. The structure of our curriculum provides opportunities to develop creative thinking, fluency, resilience, mastery, self-confidence, reasoning, and problem solving.
The six broad mathematical themes that we cover at RBA are:
- The structure of the number system
- Operating on number
- Multiplicative reasoning
- Sequences and graphs
- Statistics and probability
- Geometry
It is our ambition that all our students achieve, at each stage, the highest possible step on their learning journey here with us.
